Tea & Tally is a free diary for small everyday spending — coffee, lunch, travel and little shopping trips — with a gentle nudge to log and a weekly summary by message. The controller of your personal data is Tea & Tally Ltd, 25 Skeldergate, York, YO1 6DH, England (“we”). This notice explains how we use personal data on uk.tea-tally.mom under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

What we collect

  • What you give us: your name, UK mobile number, and the dates, labels and amounts you add.
  • Consent records: the date, time, and wording of the consent you gave.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed; and, only if you accept advertising cookies, identifiers set by the Snap Pixel.

We never ask for or store bank login details, card numbers, passwords, or one-time passcodes.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • Sending the reminders you request by SMS and WhatsApp — consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
  • Answering your questions — legitimate interests.
  • Keeping the service secure — legitimate interests.
  • Measuring our ads with the Snap Pixel — consent.

We don’t send marketing. Reminders are service messages you asked for.

Who we share it with

Only our team and our processors — hosting, SMS/WhatsApp delivery and, with your consent, Snap Inc. for ad measurement — under written contracts. We never sell personal data.

International transfers

Some processors, including Snap Inc., may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your reminders are active and delete it within 30 days of you withdrawing consent or asking us to. Consent records are kept for up to 3 years.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or erase your data, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email info@tea-tally.mom; we’ll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and logging to protect personal data.

Under-18s

Tea & Tally is only for people aged 18 and over.
